Responsibilities
Create and maintain comprehensive safety programs tailored to the specific hazards of ammunition manufacturing, including risk assessments, emergency response plans, and training programs. |
Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the plant and develop strategies to mitigate those risks. |
Investigate all incidents and accidents to determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and maintain accurate records. |
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to ammunition manufacturing. |
Conduct regular safety training for all employees, covering topics such as hazard awareness, emergency procedures, and safe work practices. |
Foster a strong safety culture within the plant by encouraging employee participation in safety programs, promoting safe behaviors, and providing regular feedback on safety performance. |
Track safety performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to address safety concerns. |
Collaborate with other departments, including production, maintenance, and engineering, to ensure safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of the plant's operations. |
Should be aware about handling environmental compliances as per CTO of the plant. |
Should be well versed with the procedure for disposal of hazardous waste and explosives. |
